Natural Materials and Disclosure

EONLITH describes a mineral or gemstone as natural only where this is supported by the information available to us. Natural mineral objects may display inclusions, colour zoning, healed fractures, internal or surface-reaching fissures, mineral pits, asymmetry and variations in form. These features are documented where observed. Features that may affect structural stability are disclosed separately from visual character.

Each one-of-one object is individually photographed and described. Known characteristics relevant to condition, structure, treatment or suitability for drilling, setting or display are recorded on the individual product page. A general description of natural variation does not replace product-specific disclosure.

Some finished, assembled or processed pieces may contain small amounts of adhesive or resin used during manufacture. Where this is known and relevant to the condition of an individual object, it will be disclosed in the product information. The presence of an assembly material does not change the stated identity of the mineral itself.

Photography and Measurement

Images are prepared to represent each object as accurately as reasonably possible. Colour may appear slightly different between screens and may also change under different lighting, viewing angles and backgrounds. These normal viewing differences do not affect a customer's rights where an item is materially different from its description or images.

Dimensions and weight are stated as approximate unless expressly identified otherwise. Measurements are taken manually and minor variation may occur. For one-of-one objects, the measurements recorded on the individual product page relate to the specific object shown.

Care

Mineral hardness and toughness are not the same. Even comparatively hard minerals may chip or fracture if struck, dropped or placed under pressure. Handle objects gently and avoid impact, pulling or abrasion.

Keep jewellery and mineral objects away from cosmetics, household chemicals, chemical reagents, ultrasonic cleaners, steam, extreme heat, freezing conditions and prolonged direct sunlight. Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming or entering hot springs. Unless product-specific care instructions state otherwise, use a clean, soft, dry cloth and avoid prolonged immersion in water.
